The September 8th 2012 Salisbury Driving Tour will follow a scenic route in Central Iowa northward to visit the Myers Collection of mostly British automobiles at Skunk River Restorations in Ames, Iowa. This new facility and its collection are owned by a Salisbury Concours committee member.

The Tour will continue on to The Hemken Collection in Williams, Iowa, a not-for-profit managed by the family of a Salisbury Concours member. This collection features mainly low mileage, unrestored automobiles, many of which are convertibles, from a broad range of manufacturers no longer in business… Packard, Studebaker, Hudson, Nash, Stutz… as well as autos from General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Mercedes and others.

The Tour will pause for a catered lunch in the Williams City Park. You may wish to stop by the Soda Fountain on Main Street for ice cream or malt (on your own) before heading home. The Tour will cover about 150 miles round trip. A historic vehicle is not required for the tour — any vehicle is welcome. The Tour is a rain-or-shine event.
The rain-or-shine Tour requires prepaid preregistration (due to luncheon arrangements). Cost $30.00 per person. Click Here to Buy Tickets
